Sarasota County Schools Winter Break – Students, All Staff

Winter break begins right after the second grading period closes, and it takes students and every staff group off campus together. Few breaks on the calendar work that way: Thanksgiving is split across several staff groups, so winter and spring breaks are the only multi-day closures that apply to students and all employees alike. Sarasota County Schools also makes it the longest closure of the 2026-27 year, carrying into the new year; the next full week without classes is spring break, with only single-day holidays in between.
