A Motown Christmas

The signature vocalists and backing band of the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe deliver a specialized seasonal concert blending traditional carols with the driving rhythms of 1960s Detroit. A Motown Christmas reimagines standard holiday fare through the stylistic lens of artists like The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, and The Supremes. The performance requires tight, four-part harmonies and synchronized choreography, translating the smooth, highly produced sound of the classic record label to a live theatrical setting. The evening offers a soulful, high-energy alternative to classical winter concerts, anchored by the troupe's exceptional vocal talent.
