Art Above Everything: Book Signing and Q&A w/ Stephanie Elizondo Griest

Travel writer and essayist Stephanie Elizondo Griest discusses her latest work, Art Above Everything, during an author event at Bookstore1Sarasota. The book examines the intersection of border politics and visual art, drawing on Griest's extensive research into how artists in militarized zones and contested regions utilize their work as a form of social resistance. The evening features a reading from the text followed by a candid Q&A session where attendees can question the author about her investigative process and the ethical complexities of documenting marginalized communities. The gathering appeals to readers interested in the geopolitical weight of contemporary artistic expression.
