Candlelight: Tribute to The Beatles

The Listeso String Quartet trades the traditional classical repertoire for the iconic pop hits of The Beatles in a specialized chamber performance. Set against the acoustics of St. Boniface Episcopal Church, the sixty-minute recital strips away the electric guitars and drum kits, distilling intricate melodies like "Strawberry Fields," "Eleanor Rigby," and "Blackbird" into arrangements for two violins, a viola, and a cello. The Siesta Key sanctuary remains in darkness, illuminated entirely by thousands of battery-operated candles scattered across the floor and altar, lending an intense, atmospheric focus to the intricate bowing and harmonic shifts of the musicians.
