Family Saturday

A morning of art-making for elementary-age children in the Ann Goldstein Children's Rainforest Garden at Selby Gardens' downtown campus. Several stations are set up with different projects, and kids work with crayons, paint, markers and colored paper to make pieces drawn from what is growing around them; the projects change each month. Family Saturday is part of the Donelly Family and Community Engagement Series and is included with regular admission, which also gets a family into the fall Orchid Show installation by glass-and-light artist Christian Sampson in the conservatory. No registration beyond a gardens ticket, and the rest of the bayfront grounds are open for wandering afterward.
