Joe Landry’s adaptation transforms Frank Capra’s cinematic Christmas classic into a 1940s radio broadcast. Staged at the Jane B. Cook Theatre, the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training company portrays voice actors who must deliver every line and create live Foley sound effects for the story of George Bailey. The ensemble stands before vintage microphones, generating the sounds of crunching snow and slamming doors in real time.
