Warm up your January with a breathtaking evening of rich textures and vibrant orchestral storytelling. Musical Tapestries weaves together a stunning array of musical cultures, bridging the old world and the new. Experience the sweeping, nostalgic warmth of Aaron Copland’s iconic Appalachian Spring and the kinetic, guitar-like rhythms of Jessie Montgomery’s acclaimed Strum. Bound together by the aristocratic charm of Hubert Parry’s Lady Radnor's Suite and the electrifying energy of Witold Lutosławski's Overture for Strings, this program celebrates the full, expressive power of the string orchestra.
Join conductor Robert Vodnoy for a spectacular launch to the chamber orchestra’s 10th season!
