Poetry Writing Intensive w/ Award-Winning Poet Rick Hilles

Writers looking to sharpen their verse can participate in a focused craft seminar led by award-winning poet Rick Hilles at Bookstore1Sarasota. The intensive workshop bypasses introductory concepts to tackle advanced mechanics of line breaks, rhythmic pacing, and the integration of historical research into contemporary poetry. Participants analyze specific texts to understand how established poets build narrative tension, then apply those structural lessons to their own drafts. The session is structured for serious practitioners looking for rigorous, technical feedback and a deeper understanding of how to maneuver language beyond basic free verse.
