Serial Readers Book Club: “The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion: Vol. 3”

Readers invested in Beth Brower’s serialized Victorian fiction gather at Bookstore1Sarasota for the Serial Readers Book Club. The group tackles The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion: Vol. 3, continuing their ongoing discussion of the protagonist's eccentric life in the London neighborhood of St. Crispian's. The dedicated club format allows attendees to analyze character arcs and ongoing plot threads across multiple volumes without needing to rehash early exposition. The conversation highlights Brower’s sharp, observational wit and the particular pacing required for episodic storytelling.
