Sharktoberfest

Craft beer and marine science converge at this adults-only tasting event held inside the Mote Science Education Aquarium. Guests sample a variety of seasonal libations and local brews while wandering past the facility's extensive aquatic habitats. The evening allows attendees to observe the resident sharks, rays, and reef fish after hours, providing a different perspective on the animals' nocturnal behaviors. The event merges a traditional beer festival atmosphere with the educational mission of the research laboratory, offering an unconventional venue for socializing and supporting the organization's ongoing ocean conservation efforts.
