South Florida Women’s Basketball vs. Longwood

Pressure defense is Longwood's identity: the Lancers forced 27.5 turnovers a game two seasons ago, second in the NCAA, and 24.3 last season, sixth, when graduate guard Malea Brown shared the Big South's Defensive Player of the Year award. Erika Lang-Montgomery's team went 21–10, its second consecutive 20-win season at the Division I level. That sets up a contest of styles with South Florida, whose Temple transfer Savannah Curry is better known as a lockdown defender than as a scorer, though she averaged 7.4 points and shot 90.7 percent at the free-throw line.
