Southern Cities: Shared Futures, City #3

The third installment of Architecture Sarasota's "Southern Cities: Shared Futures" lecture series turns its analytical lens to another rapidly expanding Southern metropolis. Hosted at the Church of the Redeemer Episcopal, the civic discussion isolates a specific municipality to examine how its planners are handling gentrification, transit demands, and the preservation of historic districts amid massive corporate relocation. By unpacking the zoning successes and infrastructural bottlenecks of a peer city, local design professionals aim to extract actionable strategies for the Gulf Coast. The presentation grounds broad architectural theory in the urgent, practical realities of contemporary urban growth.
