The Bird Lady’s Guide to Florida’s Birds: Wading Birds

Local wildlife rehabilitator Save Our Seabirds hosts an educational lecture detailing the characteristics and behaviors of Florida's wading birds. Held at the organization's outdoor pavilion on City Island, the presentation is led by longtime volunteer Mattie Watson, who breaks down the identifying features of various species. The session is part of a broader five-part series designed to help residents recognize both common and rare birds in their natural habitats. Following the talk, attendees can walk the sanctuary grounds, where the organization cares for injured avian patients.
