About Public Radio Music Day: This year’s theme reflects how many Americans feel about their local public radio music stations: Sounds Like Home. On top of elevating community voices, public music stations bolster local musicians and music economies, bring their communities together through live events and digital spaces, and preserve regional history and culture. Simply put, local public music stations sound like home – wherever that may be.
