Bootleg: America Sings 1927

Asolo Repertory Theatre presents Bootleg: America Sings 1927, an immersive original cabaret staged at the Jane B. Cook Theatre. Curated by Cat Brindisi, Terrance Jackson, James Monaghan, and Peter Rothstein, the production transforms the venue into the fictional Four Fives Club, a vibrant 1920s speakeasy. The musical revue celebrates a pivotal year in American culture, literature, and popular music. The ensemble performs classic tunes from the era, such as "Blue Skies," "Someone to Watch Over Me," and "Can't Help Lovin' That Man of Mine." Visitors will experience a theatrical concert capturing the rebellious spirit and musical innovation of the Roaring Twenties.
