Cinema at The Bay: Top Gun (1986) (40th Anniversary)

Tony Scott’s action staple Top Gun takes over the outdoor screen at The Oval for its 40th anniversary, timed to coincide with Veterans Day. Operation Warrior Resolution will introduce the screening, grounding the Hollywood spectacle of Naval aviation in a moment of recognition for real military service. The film remains a defining piece of 1980s pop culture, known for its aerial dogfights, pulsing synth soundtrack, and intense rivalries. Cinema at The Bay provides a sweeping, open-air environment for the high-altitude sequences and intense nostalgia.
