Ha-Chan, Shake Your Booty!

A grieving widow finds a path back to life in the Tokyo ballroom dance scene in Ha-Chan, Shake Your Booty!. Directed by Josef Kubota Wladyka, the drama stars Rinko Kikuchi as Haru, who isolates herself after her husband dies of a heart attack. Pushed by friends to return to the studio, she becomes infatuated with Fedir (Alberto Guerra), a new instructor visiting from Paris who is in an open marriage. The film uses frequent shifts between Japanese, Spanish and English, charting Haru's messy, emotionally complicated return to the dance floor.
