Jim Brickman

Pianist and contemporary instrumentalist Jim Brickman delivers an evening of pristine, romantic compositions at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Known for his highly successful crossover collaborations, the artist eschews complex jazz improvisation or classical formality in favor of accessible, melodic pop structures played entirely on a grand piano. The performance is heavily reliant on Brickman’s affable storytelling, as he provides the biographical context behind his most recognizable radio hits and seasonal arrangements. The concert operates as a quiet, introspective alternative to large-scale touring productions, focusing entirely on the emotional resonance of simple, expertly crafted acoustic melodies.
