MOD Weekend 2026: Party at the Pavilion

Architecture Sarasota launches its annual MOD Weekend with an evening reception celebrating a century of the Sarasota School of Architecture. The gathering brings design advocates, preservationists, and architects together in a space that exemplifies the mid-century modern aesthetic being honored. Attendees discuss the weekend's upcoming tours and symposiums while viewing preliminary exhibition materials mapping the movement's regional influence. The cocktail reception acts as the social cornerstone of the festival, fostering casual conversation about geometric design, climate-adapted structures, and the ongoing effort to preserve Florida's architectural heritage.
