Sarasota YC Invitational

Competitive sailors take to the bay for the annual Sarasota Yacht Club Invitational, hosted out of the Sarasota Sailing Squadron on City Island. The regatta brings together local racing fleets and visiting crews to navigate marked courses just off the coast. While the on-the-water action focuses on tactical maneuvering and speed across multiple classes, the shoreline facility serves as the staging ground for skippers' meetings, boat rigging, and post-race scoring. Observers can watch the colorful flotilla assemble and launch from the Squadron's docks before the boats head out to the starting line.
