South Florida Men’s Basketball vs. Charlotte

Wes Miller's first season at Charlotte follows the abrupt exit of Aaron Fearne, fired days after the 49ers' 9–9 American campaign ended in the conference tournament semifinals. Miller, a North Carolina alumnus who won three conference titles and reached the NCAA Tournament twice at UNC Greensboro, spent five seasons at Cincinnati before arriving. Coaches have the 49ers fifth in the preseason poll. South Florida answers with newcomers such as Zayden High, a four-star forward who transferred from North Carolina, and AJ Dancler, a guard with 1,122 career points at Le Moyne and Coastal Carolina.
