South Florida Men’s Basketball vs. FAU

Kanaan Carlyle, a senior guard, made the American's preseason first team, and freshman guard Felipe Quinones was named its preseason freshman of the year, giving Florida Atlantic two of the league's top individual honors under John Jakus. The Owls, picked eighth, went 9–9 in conference play last season. South Florida, in its 56th season, counts four NCAA Tournament appearances, nine NITs and the 2019 CBI title, and has retired the jerseys of Chucky Atkins, Charlie Bradley and Rodenko Dobras.
