South Florida Men’s Basketball vs. Tulsa

Thirty wins, the second-most in Tulsa history, carried the Golden Hurricane to the NIT championship game, where Auburn won 92–86 in overtime. Eric Konkol, whose first three seasons produced 34 wins in all, built that team around the balanced scoring of guards Miles Barnstable, Ade Popoola and Tylen Riley, and Tulsa also outlasted North Texas in a three-overtime American Tournament quarterfinal. The preseason poll has the Golden Hurricane fourth. South Florida counters with Tiefing Diawara, a 7-foot center from Mali who played four seasons in Italy before a year at Syracuse.
