The Metropolitan Opera: Macbeth (2026)

The Metropolitan Opera broadcasts Giuseppe Verdi’s stirring adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth live to local cinemas. Conducted by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin, this penetrating new production by Louisa Proske plunges into the dark psychology of a couple desperate to seize power. The high-definition screening stars powerhouse soprano Lise Davidsen as the ruthlessly ambitious Lady Macbeth alongside baritone Quinn Kelsey in the title role. The broadcast captures the intense vocal performances and elaborate stagecraft from multiple camera angles, bringing the grandeur of a New York opera house directly to the Gulf Coast.
