Sarasota County School Board Work Session-Landings Board Chambers

In a work session, members of the School Board of Sarasota County hear staff presentations and talk issues through, separately from their regular meetings, in the chambers at the Landings Administrative Complex. October's session ran through school safety and security reporting, a Verkada and SmartPass update, the board's legislative platform, a policy revision cycle, an audit selection committee and a follow-up on collective bargaining. The five members, elected countywide, set district policy and appoint the superintendent who directs daily operations.
