Ariella & Nicolaas Valentine’s Dinner & Show

Dinner comes first here: a gourmet buffet from Pier 22, with tables arranged so that nobody sits with their back to the stage, followed by a set from the husband-and-wife duo Ariella & Nicolaas. Singer Ariella McManus, who cites Etta James and Amy Winehouse as vocal touchstones, and guitarist Nicolaas Kraster, whose style draws on Paco de Lucía and Roy Buchanan, move between soul, blues, jazz, flamenco and rock. Based in Greenville, South Carolina, the pair counts five-time Grammy winner Victor Wooten as an admirer and has appeared as a guest at his Music and Nature Camp. The Valentine's-themed show is at the Manatee Performing Arts Center in Bradenton.
