Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: Andrew & Lathrop Ford Bayfront Sculpture Garden

Art Center Sarasota officially expands its outdoor exhibition space with the unveiling of the Andrew & Lathrop Ford Bayfront Sculpture Garden. The civic ceremony highlights the installation of two permanent structural additions to the grounds: a monumental, vibrant sculpture by internationally acclaimed artist Jorge Blanco, and a new site-specific commission by local creator Zach Gilliland. The event marks a significant structural enhancement to the facility's footprint, demonstrating how large-scale, three-dimensional art can alter and elevate the public landscape along the Tamiami Trail corridor.
