Sailfest

The Sarasota Sailing Squadron hosts its 36th annual Sailfest Regatta, a major competitive youth sailing event on the waters of Sarasota Bay. Organized by Sarasota Youth Sailing, the massive two-day regatta draws hundreds of young competitors from across the state to navigate shifting coastal winds and currents. Spectators can watch massive fleets of dinghies and small craft maneuver through complex racing tactics right off Ken Thompson Park. The longstanding maritime tradition highlights intense youth athletics and strengthens the regional competitive sailing community.
