Sarasota Bay Multihull Regatta

Multihull sailing vessels take over the waters of Sarasota Bay for the annual Sarasota Bay Multihull Regatta, hosted by the Sarasota Sailing Squadron. The high-speed racing event features catamarans and trimarans navigating a challenging coastal course designed to test the rapid acceleration and shallow-draft maneuverability of twin- and triple-hulled boats. Spectators on City Island can watch the agile fleet slice through the chop under full sail. The regatta showcases alternative boat designs and rewards tactical prowess against shifting bay winds and tidal currents.
