Sarasota Jazz Project

The Jazz Club of Sarasota hosts a live afternoon concert by the Sarasota Jazz Project, an energetic big band dedicated to the preservation and performance of classic swing. Held in the sanctuary of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Sarasota, this performance is part of the long-running "Jazz at 2" series highlighting top regional musicians. The ensemble draws from a deep repertoire of mid-century arrangements and contemporary big band charts, showcasing robust brass sections and driving rhythm. The series routinely gives local jazz aficionados a dedicated space to hear complex, large-scale orchestrations in an acoustically rich setting.
