The Monster Who Got a Second Chance

Winning entries from young regional playwrights form the foundation of The Monster Who Got a Second Chance, staged at the Florida Studio Theatre Keating Theatre. The annual children’s production takes original, unrestrained concepts submitted by students and assigns them to professional actors and directors to realize fully on stage. The resulting anthology performance embraces the odd logic, sudden narrative shifts, and raw creativity inherent in stories authored by children. The fast-paced show treats the young writers' material with serious theatrical craft, translating their wild ideas into an organized, physical comedy.
