The Monster Who Got a Second Chance

Professional actors tackle scripts penned entirely by local children in The Monster Who Got a Second Chance. Produced by Florida Studio Theatre, the anthology play compiles winning submissions from a regional student writing program and transforms them into a cohesive mainstage performance. Unfiltered by adult narrative rules, the short plays bounce through unexpected genres and surreal humor. The cast and creative team use elaborate props, physical comedy, and direct sincerity to honor the bizarre and highly inventive plots imagined by the young authors.
