2027 SARASOTA OPERA GALA: A NIGHT OF CAMELLIAS & CHAMPAGNE

The grand traditions of 19th-century Parisian society are resurrected for the 2027 Sarasota Opera Gala, themed "A Night of Camellias & Champagne." Held within the Opera House, the organization’s premier annual fundraiser begins with a specialized concert featuring the principal artists of the Winter Festival season executing select arias and ensembles. The performance is followed by a formal, multi-course dinner and live auction, with the venue's decor heavily referencing the tragic elegance of Verdi's La Traviata. The black-tie event serves as the primary financial engine for the company's mainstage productions, merging high-profile social networking with elite classical vocal performance.
