A Trip Around The World “The Legacy Tour”

A dance-school showcase built as a travelogue: Platinum Superstars Dance Factory, the majorette-rooted youth company Tonisha Benson founded in Sarasota's Newtown and has since taken to competitions around Tampa Bay, where it has won grand-champion honors, brings its students to the Manatee Performing Arts Center for an evening organized around the studio's own history. The program is framed as a trip through the company's past, present and future, moving among the styles it trains in. It follows an earlier "Trip Around the World" the studio staged on the same stage in 2021, which traveled through hip-hop, ballet and majorette routines; this edition adds the "Legacy" framing as a look back at what the company has become.
