Rock Legends of the ’60s & ’70s

The string and brass sections of the Sarasota Orchestra tackle the defining stadium anthems of classic rock during this pops program. Guest vocalists and a rhythm section join the symphonic musicians to perform fully orchestrated arrangements of tracks originally recorded by Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, and Queen. The concert recontextualizes familiar guitar riffs and drum solos, scaling up the vintage rock sound to fit a modern symphonic framework.
