Almighty Queen

A tribute act dedicated to the catalog of the British stadium-rock band comes to the Manatee Performing Arts Center. "Almighty Queen" recreates the vocal harmonies, guitar solos, and theatrical stage presence that defined Freddie Mercury and his bandmates throughout the 1970s and 1980s. The ensemble performs exact arrangements of the group's signature anthems, from complex operatic rock pieces to driving, bass-heavy arena singalongs. The concert focuses heavily on replicating the distinctive tones of Brian May's guitar work and the soaring, multi-layered vocal tracks that became the hallmark of the original band's studio albums and live tours.
